8fit 21-Day Sugar Detox
We’re thrilled to announce the 8fit 21-Day Sugar Detox! Starting Monday, May 7, and ending Sunday, May 27, join fellow 8fitters on a journey to break up with sugar and say “goodbye” to that troublesome sweet tooth.
Challenge details
First things first, follow 8fit on Instagram! Every day during the 21-day challenge, we’ll post a daily challenge in our Instagram story. One day you might be challenged to post a meal photo, another day you’ll be asked to post proof that you’re staying hydrated, or we might ask you to share one way you’re staying active.
Every week, you’ll have the chance to win 1 of 3 prize packs: 1 year of 8fit Pro membership + an 8fit water bottle! To win, simply post the daily challenge on your Instagram page (as a post, not a story) with the tag #8fitSugarDetox and #8fit. Post every day — Monday through Sunday — and you’ll be eligible to win the weekly prize.
We encourage you to hold yourself accountable by planning and preparing your meals and snacks ahead of time. When you do this, you’ll be less tempted to eat out and reach for that mid-day chocolate bar or caramel latte. Also, keep a food journal or take pictures of each meal to track what you liked or maybe didn’t like. Documenting everything helps you track your progress.
The details in short:
Start date: Monday, May 7, 2018
End date: Sunday, May 27, 2018
Duration: 21 days
How to win: Follow us on and view our story each day for #8fitSugarDetox challenges. Complete the challenge and share “proof” by posting a photo on your Instagram page. We’ll select one random winner each week. The more days you participate, the better your chances are to win.
How to stay motivated: We’ll encourage you on our Instagram story along the way! For additional motivation, check out the page to see what other 8fitters are posting.
Remember, we’re all in this together. Comment on each other’s photos throughout the #8fitSugarDetox. It’s always encouraging to support others and feel supported in return.
Why you should join
Still not convinced? The addictive qualities of sugar always leave us wanting more – it’s science. Reducing your sugar consumption won’t be easy at first but after 21 days, you’ll experience less sweet treat cravings and you’ll feel naturally energized. When it comes to long-term health, eating sugary meals, snacks and beverages in moderation will help you maintain a healthy weight, lower blood pressure and decrease your risk of heart disease and diabetes.
Leading up to the challenge we have some great reading materials for you. Learn sugar dos and don’ts, how to deal with withdrawals (coming soon) and how to manage cravings.
